A nice book reflecting on women's conditions in our modern times, from motherhood to wifedom, and also from single to different lifestyles. I read the book at the perfect time in my life where I just got married and was reflecting on what it meant in my life, and in the global sense. Truly, a good read.
I just finished reading this book, and it is hilarious! Yet, it does give useful inputs on how to handle people at work, but also in our daily life. Seriously, a good read for all you people hatesr out there!
A good entertaining book, giving a plausible backline story to one of the most revered and adored Egyptian Queen.
The case presented in this book is really an interesting one: the historian Richard J. Evans commented on his participation in the trial of David Irving, whom brought a libel suit against Penguin Books and author Deborah Lipstadt (whom treated Irving as an Holocaust denier). It's an interesting case of studies in History and historiography, of methodology and work ethics, and Evans does bring some interesting questions on how an historian today could or should work. I'd recommend the book to any historian or student interested in the Second World War or Holocaust history, even if it can be a bit long in some part.
