Not a bad book, Like the concepts put forward but sure all methods would not work for all types of companies, software included.

It will be interesting to compare it to their second book ReWork, and see if their ideas have changed or expanded much.

To be honest I believe a lot of their success had been directly related to their release of Ruby on Rails, for that reason alone they have rightly garnered a lot of goodwill. It almost always feels good to see a company that loves and stick to their concepts in real life as well as just putting it on their blog.
