Not really for those getting a pretty-much intact car back on the road as it covers building a car from scratch. Putting a car together from all new bits is a different affair to working out what is wrong with an old car with all the legacy repairs which that includes. However the photos are always a good addition to a reference library.
The usual Haynes layout, loads of technical exploded diagrams. This is best used alongside other books which give better colour photos. Simply due to the amount of detail, if you only get one book get this one.
Adam added MGB Driver's Handbook to his library.
Has electrical diagrams for all the different configurations and has a huge amount of detail. While the smaller, systems, diagrams are easy enough to follow, for the larger ones trying to follow a particular wire is difficult. For that I'd recommend getting hold of one of the Prosperos poster-sized diagrams.
More useful when you've got the car up and running, helping you work out what is wrong by a series of diagnoses. So less useful during the restoration, but it does have loads of good reference photos.
