Help us help you May 9, 2010
We're conducting gorilla-style usability tests here at Readernaut. If you have some free time and would like to help us improve the site here is what you need to do:
Download Silverback (mac only, sorry!). It's free for 30 days which is plenty of time. If you're new to Silverback watch the five minute video on their homepage to get up to speed.
Once you're up and running we'd like you to use the site however you typically use it. The more you verbalize your thoughts the better. Think of it as your stream of consciousness as you use the site. Examples could be "After I clicked submit I expected to see..., but instead saw..." or "I got frustrated when..." or "That's cool!"
When you're finished, export the video at 50% Low quality and send it to nathan@readernaut.com with YouSendIt.
Thank you so much for your time. This is going to be an exciting summer!

Twitter integration June 15, 2009
Readernaut currently uses Twitter in the following three ways.
Friend finding: If you enter your Twitter username here, Readernaut will try to match up Twitter users with existing Readernaut users. This can be a useful way to find your friends already on Readernaut. You can do the same type of lookup with your Flickr username.
Book udpating: You can easily update your book progress via Twitter by tweeting using the pattern: #reading <book title> #<page|location|chapter> <page number>. An example would be #reading Notes on the Synthesis of Form #page 131. This only works if you've added your Twitter username to your other profiles list.
Tweeting progress: After updating your progress on Readernaut you'll notice a small Twitter icon to the right of the progress entry on your timeline. By clicking this we'll pop you over to Twitter and drop a pre-formatted tweet into your status box. You can edit it or just click update!
Who said blogging was dead? June 6, 2009
Sorry for the delay in getting this blog set up. Up until now I've been using Twitter as a communication tool and I've had a lot of readers request a blog so here we go! My plan is to use this space as much as possible to talk about new features and hopefully hear more from you.
So yeah, Hi! My name is Nathan Borror and I'm the sole creator and maintainer of Readernaut. This has been my side project for over a year now and it's been a blast working on the site and hearing your feedback. I've got more posts planned for the next few days but for now I just wanted introduce myself and say hi :)
If you haven't yet joined what are you waiting for!
