Some of the ideas expressed in this book coincide with ideas found in the 10,000 year explosion.
How disease followed farming .. how some diseases took a foothold as a response to another environmental pressure. Moalem and Prince try to make a case that diabetes was evolution's response to the last Ice Age. etc.. They bring up examples for dozens of diseases..where the bearer may have had a survival advantage..like the ability to survive the black plague ...:-)
I think I need to read it again.
