Some people said this was a weak sequel to 'Wicked: The Times and Life of the Wicked Witch of the West' but I disagree. Maybe because I identified myself with the character of Liir in some of his problems and thoughts. Maybe because I really, really like Gregory Maguire's style. Maybe both.
I liked the first book in the Wicked series enough, but this book was much better. It moved much faster and at some points I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
