Another bending/blending of history and fiction. To really understand the full extent of what Borges is doing here, you have to be much more a student of history than I am, I think. Even though I was not as enthralled with this volume as I was with The Aleph and The Maker, I still come away from reading it with the same sense that the world is much, much larger than I am aware.
