Born to Run A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen

Christopher Mcdougall

Great story and very inspiring. Loved it.

You wouldn't think a book about running would be so enthralling. Christopher McDougall does an excellent job of weaving information about nutrition, body mechanics, and running gear together with a fascinating account of a race between some of the best ultra runners of all time. Born To Run is packed with drug cartels, remote Mexican tribes, and a crazy white horse who may not really exist; what's not to like. This book is worth a read even if you have no interest in running.

Great book and a great example of how companies and marketers create artificial needs.

Best book I've read in a while. It will completely alter the way you think about running and make you enjoy it. I found myself itching to get home just to throw on some nike frees and run 5 miles, even though I'd never run more than 2. And I'm not the only one, any person that's read the book based on my recommendation has had the same experience. Just be prepared to have some sore calves. Long live the Tarahumara and Christopher McDougall's awesome writing style.
