I picked this up at the airport. I liked the basic thesis that traffic is something worth thinking about. I'm about halfway through and losing some interest. I find the book lacking in terms of sociological insight. Vanderbilt goes into plenty of detail and examples about traffic science and it's various movements, but I still get a blah feeling as to how much would apply to the US. I hope he digs in on that in the 2nd half. (I prefer a running analysis--why wait until page 350 to present your thoughts?)
