i understand that people can relate to holden, and i think thats what makes it a good book. it's not my favorite book of all time, but it's good to an extent. i think a lot of people like to love this book because everyone loves it. it became a trend, props to those who do in fact love it.
If you do something too good, then, after a while, if you don't watch it, you start showing off. And then you're not as good any more.
