It took me a really long time to get into this book and I thought that, despite my interest in vampires, I wouldn't continue in the series. However, Louis' relationship with Armand really drew me in and I'm very excited to read what will happen next. Definitely a good book, but I'm not sure I would like the movie. Tom Cruise? I don't think so.

I read the Vampire Chronicles many years before I became a Christian. I am still compelled by the stories and the detail in which they written. I am torn by the the creative expression of this collection. After discovering that Anne Rice has converted to Christianity as well, I can not help but view this work as a personal benchmark.
