Half-way finished, my favorite story thus far is the four-parts "Godliness", especially the last part involving David, grand-son of Jesse, the sacrificial lamb and the religion theme. I also thought the theme of loneliness in "Adventure" was powerfully executed, similarly to the Louise Bentley character in "Godliness" part three.
Took several stories before I felt like I hit my stride in reading, as the parts I've noted above are all in the middle sections. May be required to re-read the opening four or so pieces.
