It's a great story, but it is filled with way too much description that serves no purpose. A lot of the scenes are the same. They are well written and for the most part interesting, but have no reason to be in the story. About half way through I was tired of reading the day to day life and just wanted to know the story. So I then read the last ten pages and it told me everything that I wanted to know. It is a sad but beautiful story that kept me thinking.
Niffenegger is so much more than a romance novelist. The Time Traveler's Wife is an outstanding novel that explores the limits of time, space, and love. It might sound cheesy, but Niffenegger manages to take these three seemingly unrelated things and bonds them together as if they were always meant to be intertwined.
Introduced by my army friend who's an avid reader.. and then some others. Need to pick this up sometime.
