I started reading this one with unsurprising disdain given the subject matter, but Nabokov's lyricism really pulled me through the book. Halfway through I changed my opinion of it. Lolita is a classic read, and I could see why. The sexual and social commentaries aren't lost in the middle of a plot that is interesting enough. Humor comes at you at quite a few unexpected points.
