Micki Montoro The Confessions of Nat Turner

This 1967 Pulitzer Prize winning novel is the confession of Nat Turner who led the only "successful" slave revolt in 1831 Virginia. He is writng his confessions while awaiting his execution. It is very interesting from the slave perspcetive; however, it is a bit difficult to read in the slave dialect.
