Makers is the tale of a believable future that is simultaneously thrilling and bleak. I consider pacing to be this novel's greatest weakness, but such flaws are overshadowed by its raw geek appeal. It is undeniably interesting and as always, Cory Doctorow has provided me with many new notions, real and fictional, to consider.
