Cathy Keyes The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher

I found this a really interesting read. It took a little perseverance, and rereading of certain paragraphs was required, but I did find the subject matter intriguing. The case of Road Hill I found disturbing on many levels, not just the murder investigation, but all the sub-plots and family intrigue surrounding it. I didn't particularly enjoying reading about the murder case per se but I did find reading about Victorian England interesting and how life changed for the population on so many levels. It wasn't a page turner due to its documentary style of writing, but from a historical perspective I found it a superbly written book.

No matter how many time I tried to read this I just lost interest and gave up. The plot was good, the story line was good but it lacked something that made me stay with it.
