The deepest message I'll take away from this book is how a relationship should never be founded in social or economical standards. Jesus Christ never cared for those standards and we see that same pattern here in this book. This story is a great reminder of the difference between loving someone who is lovable, and loving someone who is hard to love. Often times when we open ourselves to these relationships our world view will be changed dramatically.
This is a very moving book and an easy read. I really enjoyed the format of telling the same story between the two people who experienced it. You shouldn't be disappointed.
