Summer of Secrets

I have finished the book Summer of Secrects and and it was a very amousing book but i didnt enjoy this book as much i enjoy all the other book i have read. This book took me inside of the a teensnager life and showed me how someone i dont know but made me fell as if i were i walked her though the whole thing. Darcy was a good person help peolpe that she saw needed it and never ternd her back on no body and if she did she was nit happy about it

At home there was so much tension going on. Darcy thought that thought her mom and dad getting back together was not working out. But it was really that her mom was pregnant. She was vary excited but mad that they hide it from her and her sister for two months. Darcy had always hide her fillings from her family because she didn’t want to be another.

But at the moment she found out that they where going to be a real family she spilled everything about what happen after the attack with brain and the nightmares. After that night she knew what her grandmother said (“Everthing’s gonna be okay, Angelcake. You’ll see. You’re gonna be just fine.”) she knew that the rest of her summer would be fine.

Tyray knew people that handle guns and know that he could get his hands on one but he needed 50$. For Tyray to get that money he had to lie and still. Until he got a gun in his hands he had to think about a lot. He had to think about how he would end up like his bother in jail, how his father would want to disowned him, or how much he would hurt his mother.

During the summer Darcy went though a lot. Like how she was almost raped by a boy named Brian that little sister she babysit. A friend named Briasana that told her to watch out for that boy and Darcy did not listen and got that mess. Now she cant sleep at she is always having nightmares about what Brian did to her. But now Darcy is now trying to return the favor and trys to tell Briasana that her boyfriend Duane is cheating on her. Now that Briasana did not listen to Darcy she thought she was pregnant but found but found out wasn't after Darcy took Briasana to a hospital to see if she was. Also found out that Duane did not care if she was pregnant and that he was cheating on her and that he only after one thing.

For the first few chapters Darcy talks about how how her as a young teenager that had so much on her mind this summer. She felt that she was on her own. Had no one to talk to after her grandmother died. She wanted a world free of Duane's and Brian's. Free from fathers that leaves home for five years. Free of the nightly crying and tension she witnessed in her house during the past few weeks.
