Ultimately, the most important thing I’ve learned over the journey that my career in software development has been is that it’s not what you do for a living orwhat you have that’s important. It’s howyou choose to accept these things. It’s internal. Satisfaction, like our career choices, is something that should be sought after and decided upon with intention.

Because of this complexity, we easily become demotivated by the bigger issues and turn our attention instead to things that are easier to measure and easier to quickly fix. This is why we procrastinate. And the procrastination generates guilt, which makes us feel bad and therefore procrastinate some more.

All it takes to make the connection is a little less humility - talking about making the hang - getting in touch with people that know more than you, that you admire, and learning from them.
