Eric Ward Ubik

Dick always makes the serious things trivial and the trivial things very serious.

Just when I thought I may be quicker than the characters and know what's going on, the dimensions shift, and i'm enthralled again--a new reality at every turn just when you thought your hypothesis was going so well. Definitely a wild read for those who like an element of uncertainty in their scifi. Dick is notorious for debating real vs not real in his work--figures, he was a schizo meth addict. It was a pleasure to have him for required reading for a scifi class.

Easily my favorite of Dick's works. Chilling and phenomenally engrossing. I read it in one sitting.

About 100 pages in, I am finding it is best not to eat too soon before or after and to keep my arms and legs close to my body.
