Truly unfortunate. If it's the first gen like mine then this is a great excuse for an upgrade! And since we're talking about Dickens this might have saved you from reading a lot of overwrought prose.

I got the new Kindle yesterday and I will be back into this story pretty soon. I don't mind the flourishes so much. The biting humor and unforgiving social commentary earn Dickens slack.
