maybe it is just because i'm reading it late but it comes of as whiny and even for an avowed liberal like myself i find some of wolf's comparisons overdramatic
the bush administration did indeed weaken the nation, it followed sometimes intentionally and sometimes coincidentally fascist themes and invoked certain facist motifs. a bulleted list of them would have sold this point to the choir and left them valuable time to actually do something about it. i for one i'm glad i waited until this threat passed to read this book. (ok this was harsh but by the end i was just reading because i felt i should finish what i started)
