Amma is scared, she cuts school with Joel to find out any leads for Adam. She wen't to his school and went to every group. She went to the Arab Group to see if Adam had any enemys. Adam did not come home last night. His sister knows because he is her alarm clock when she goes to school. She usually hears him talking to her mom in the kitchen. Lat night it was Adams birthday he was going out and he had nice clothes on and when he left the house you could smell his aftershave, after he left he told his family " i could be late' and he left.In the morning when she went to the kitchen her mom told her that Adam did not come home last night, she has a cup of coffe in her hand and looked like she didn't sleep last night. Her dad was on the phone calling every emergency room to see if he was there but no sound of Adam. Then they called the police, and the came to there house there were asking so many questions, Does your son do drugs? Is he in gang related? Did he ever try to commite suicide? Does he have a girlfriend! Her dad got mad and told him ' My son is not on DRUGS! Hes not gang related !! hes just a normal 17 year old kid he loves the game of soccer and is going to the army next year.

Andre was jumped by some white guys in a parking lot. While he was going to his car 3 guys went up to him and they started to fight. Andre was fighting back but 3 guys over powered one. Then a car pulled up with a guy with a ski mask. The 3 guys picked up Andre and another guy came of the car and the 4 guys grabbed Andre.They opened the door of the car they put Andre In Between and the cloosed the door on his ribs. Then they grabed his fingers and they did that about 4 times. Then the leader told them to stop.

Jeffrey had a line to cross freelly , this line ran from the East End to Dekalb street. He would run from Noristown to the 202 highway. Then Dekalb Street came of the bridge across the Schuylkill and ran sout to north end across The Reading railroad station, Past were his father worked past the YMCA, and across the Jhonson highway across town. Deklab Street divided the East End from the West End only a few people that were African-American lived in the West End and some Italian like his grandparents. The first time Jerry saw a black person was when he was about 3 or 4 years old he was going to a dentist apointment with his mom and his dentist Dr.Winter was African-American. Jerry lived in the East End most of his life but whne he hit first grade he moved to George street(only white people lived there). He went to an Elementry school called Hartranft Elementry there was only one black person in his class she was a girl her name was Viola Fisher. In all the 6 years Jerry had class with her she never said a word,barley moved.

When they wen't to Shawns house 'Hi Mom' Shawn said it took her about 67 hours to repond. She told him dinner would be ready in 5 minutes she told him softly.Shawn just wen't straight to the refrigerator and took juice he drank it straight out of the bottole. This Novel Is basically a boy named Andre who loves to play basketball. He was in one game were it was all tied up the next point wins. Cedric was talking a lot of trash to Lorenzo he told him' Im scoring right now you hear me'. Then Lorenzo told him you ain't scoring around me you heard. Cedric tried to show of and he took a shot with 3 defenders on him , he missed the shot by a mile. The basketball came back and Andre got the rebound he ran up and took the shot the only person to defend him was Shawn, Andre took the shot both him and Shawn both fell the bell went into the rim Andre scored the winning basket. Andre got up and screaming that he won but he looked over at his right hand and he got slashed and he was bleeding. Andre got mad and told Shawn' Nice Foul, Shawn said danm right that was a foul. Shawn came to Andres face. The got nose to nose , Slowly the players gathered Cedric yelled out hit him Andre I got your back. Andre glared but Shawn didn't flinch. Andre cracked a smile and said shut up Cedric and Shawn smiled to. Andre said this was a small cut and Shawn put his arm around Andre and they walked of.
