A bit off-the-trend considering popular topics among writers nowadays, but once U get into the 80's feel, the tension surrounding the omnipresent possibility of World War 3, then u begin enjoying the book.....The end is really good......Kinda felt that the newspaper seller bit (along with the 'Black Freighter' story) was dragged along a bit too far.........Overall, I'd suggest U read this book without fail, not only because it sets a standard in writing, but also because it really raises you're understanding of this phenomenon that we call human life on planet Earth!! Can't wait to watch the movie adaptation!!
