This was a lot more elementary than I thought it'd be. Good for someone with no real knowledge about child development.
I just can't make myself finish this. Generally not a book-quitter, but Wilde can suck it.

I took forever to finish this because we moved right after I started it. Sadly, as the book is a collection of short essays (though it flows exceptionally well), it's easy to pick up and put down and away! Steingarten is my favorite grumpy old man - book is funny and ... i'd like to say "insightful," but the word makes me cringe!
got the audiobook for a road trip, and have mixed feelings - love hearing the book read aloud, but will i ever go back and re-listen as i have re-read his other books? not so sure.
