Haven't read this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed [I'm the Legend of the Son of Man][im]. Met the author at a reading well over a decade ago. He started with the premise "what shaped Jesus?" and tried to fill in the missing years. Was definitely a fun read. [im]: http://j.mp/7kZw3k

Agile How-To
A collection of books that I've read talking about the programming methodology called "Agile". This is, by no means, exhaustive, but is meant to serve as a jumping off point from where I'm coming from.
"Sometimes the blockers are technical, and other times they're organizational. For example, if a team isn't using source control, they are at risk of losing changes to the software."
Do "teams" in software development seriously not use source control? I thought that was a given. I'd posit that if they're not, it's not so much a team of professionals as a loose association of guys who like to hack socially. Even then, they're out of touch.

I've seen it happen. Usually in places where there is only one or a very small team of "programmers"

I've been reading this as we transition to Agile at D51. There's definitely a lot of things in here that I'm treating as "work toward" this. One thing I've taken away from it so far (about half way through) and most other Agile methodologies, is that they're all pick and choose. We're getting in the habit of two week iterations with deliverables, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. We'll add to those as we get more comfortable. Good luck on getting your work flow under control.
