My wife picked up the first book in this trilogy (The Strain) and though it's not the sort of thing I would normally gravitate to, both books are fabulous and I was hooked almost immediately.

The US and international edition of this book is named "Marshall McLuhan: You know nothing of my work!", a hat tip to his famous cameo in Woody Allen's 1977 film, Annie Hall. The book itself is largely the same though the two long segments taken from Coupland's "Generation A" are removed.

Written by the stepson of Stephanie McLuhan (daughter of Marshall McLuhan) with an introduction by Douglas Coupland, apparently the go-to guy for introductions on books about The Simpsons.

Considering I've spent the better part of the last two months doing research, writing and reading reports and actually doing many of the things in this book, I can recommend it a good primer for anyone who's interested in taking a bit more of the guesswork and intuition out of their design processes and replacing that with more informed inputs that direct the creative process.
